Catered Crop–The Call It Mellow Yellow

For the current challenge at the Catered Crop, we are just mad about yellow!  That’s the current challenge, use the color yellow somewhere on your paper craft project.

For my project, I mixed yellow with blue and kraft to make a sunshiny card for a friend.

I wasn’t feeling really well this weekend when I had a bit of crafty time so I took a look at Pinterest for some inspiration.   I was inspired by this card by Jen.

As always, Linda has curated a fabulous inspiration board for our challenge.  You can see her Mellow Yellow board on Pinterest by clicking on the photo below

Pumpkin Spice–For the Bride-to-be

Hello!  Today it’s my turn to post on the Pumpkin Spice blog.    Our challenge this week is FLOWERS!  We want to see what you make with flowers.  This should be an easy one!

For my project, I decided to make a card for a bridal shower using papers and twine from Shop Pumpkin Spice

Sadly, I wasn’t able to give my card to the bride.  After I finished taking my photos, I spilled my huge cup of water on my desk and the card was wrecked.   I hate when that happens!

Don’t forget to link up your project at the Pumpkin Spice blog.

Great Impressions - Christmas mice

Well, we finally have some nice, warm weather in Wisconsin.  It was a beautiful weekend.  But, being my usual contrary self, I started working on my Christmas cards.

I have been trying to wait a while before coloring these sweet mice from Great Impressions Stamps, but I just couldn’t wait any longer.    I see so many crafters getting a jump on their Christmas cards, so I thought I would give it a try.  Maybe I won’t be rushing to get enough finished in November and December this year.  We’ll see.  One card does not make a trend, but at least it’s a start.

Catered Crop–The Fabric of Our Lives

Hello crafty friends!  Linda at the Catered Crop came up with a fun challenge for us.  This time around, we want to see your creations using FABRIC!  How fun is that?  Just use some fabric in your paper crafty project.

Well, you know that they say timing is everything.  I had a few ideas but when I went up to my craft room I found a pair of jeans my daughter put on my desk for me.  She said that since they are too small and have a rip in the knee, she thought I might be able to use them for something.  How right she was!

Pumpkin Spice– For Mom

I have another card for Mother’s Day to share with you today.

Although I always love October Afternoon’s paper collections, I especially love Woodland Park.   Since I had the papers sitting on my desk after making this card for the Pumpkin Spice blog hop, I decided to see what else I could create.

2013-05-04 PSS Mom hex butterfly card WM

I created my chipboard letters by adhering kraft cardstock to a piece of cardboard from a cereal box before using alphabet dies to cut them out.   This is a cheap and easy way to have chipboard pieces that match any project.    You can see the Bazzill Basics card stock carried by ShopPumpkinSpice here.

You still have plenty of time to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day and join in the fun we had at the Pumpkin Spice blog.     Challenges are open until 6 pm Friday, May 10th.   Each challenge winner will receive a $20 GC to ShopPumpkinSpice.
