Great Impressions –Build a Snowman

I worked on some Christmas cards this weekend.  Somehow, it just felt wrong when it is 90-degrees out. But, Christmas is coming fast.  (As my cousin pointed out, there are only 120 days until Christmas.  Yikes!)

The card I am sharing with you today uses Build a Snowman (F251) and Season’s Greetings (C427) from Great Impressions Stamps.   If you know me, you know I have a weakness for snowmen so I had to add this stamp to my collection.

We celebrated my birthday this weekend.  I had a great time with my family.  On Friday, my daughter and I went shopping and had a really fun day.  On Saturday, my DH and daughter took me out to eat.  Of course it was Italian food, my favorite.  Then we went to the Safe House.   I’ll keep my secrets of our outing to myself, but if you are ever visiting Milwaukee, it is worth a visit.

Well, I had better get started on folding laundry.  Fun, fun…

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a fabulous week!

Catered Crop - America’s Dairyland

After I created my first card for the Catered Crop recipe swap, “Map It”, I had another idea for a card and I just had to make it.

I stumbled across a link that allows you to print maps of each state.  After playing around with the setting on my printer, I printed a map of Wisconsin, my home state, at my printer’s 4x6 setting on white card stock.

I added a heart punched out of scrap paper and added it to the part of where I live.   Cute and easy – my favorite kind of card.

The Catered Crop has another fun recipe swap – MAP IT!   Using maps in crafting projects is a hot trend.    For this swap, break out those map papers or even a real map and get crafty!

For my card, I dug into some October Afternoon papers that I had stashed away.   The Road Maps collection had some fun map-themed papers that I used for this project.

    Catered Crop Recipe Swap–Sequins

Good morning!  Hump day is here!   Have you seen Gieco’s Happy Hump Day commercial?  If not, I’ll put a link at the end of the post so you can check it out.  That camel always makes me smile.

Any how, I should get to the business at hand, sequins.  Yep, you heard me, sequins.   Linda, our creative head chef at the Catered Crop, has asked us to use sequins in our projects.    Use lots of them or use just a few, it is entirely up to you.

For my recipe swap project, I tried to keep things relatviely CAS.  I tried to be a bit trendy with the coffee theme, sequins, washi and cork all on the same card.  Wowza!   (Is cork still trendy?  I like it and I am going to still use it either way.)

    Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!

Did you miss me on Monday?  I usually post for Great Impressions Stamps on Monday but we lost our internet service on Sunday evening so I didn’t get my post typed up.   I thought I would actually go to bed early but I got side tracked doing all kinds of important things like painting my toe nails and , cleaning out my purse.

So our internet is back and I have a new card using Great Impressions Stamps to share with you.    This pretty stamp is Flower Flyer (G327) from Great Impressions Stamps.  Can’t you almost smell the flowers?
